How to Register your swimmer for an A meet:
It is very important for the coach to know whether swimmers will be unable to swim in a meet.
In an A meet, we can only replace three swimmers who scratch from the meet. Any additional No Shows, and we have empty lanes and others on the team are deprived of a chance to swim in the meet.
All swimmers must have a parent Commit or Decline them for every swim meet. Please do the entire swim season now, even if you don't think your swimmer will be asked to swim in a particular meet. Substitutes are often needed. To do so you must login to your account.
Under the Meets & Events tab, select "Signup Calendar" to sign up for a swim meet.
Click the green MEET ENTRY tab. You will see a list of athletes associated with your account
Click Edit to add or change their attendance and relay declarations, or to add, change or delete events for your athlete's (if your coach allows event selection).
Select an attendance option from the drop-down menu next to each athlete's name. For A meets, coaches will choose events for your child.
Next, select a relay availability option from the drop down menu for each athlete, and then click the Save button to save your selections.
If something comes up after Wednesday, notify the coaches by email also on the Home Page. They can make changes without penalty up until Friday morning, but it is much better for the team if they do not have to make last minute changes.
How to Register your swimmer for a B meet:
Wednesday (B-Meet) entry rules: Swimmers may swim up to three (3) individual stroke events, as well as the Individual Medley (IM) during Wednesday B-meets.
- If your child was one of the top-two finishers for the Old Farm Swim Team in an event at the prior Saturday A meet, they may not swim that same event at the immediately following B meet.
- Since swimmers may only swim a maximum of three individual stroke events at an A meet, there will always be at least one stroke event available for every swimmer to swim at the B meets!!!
- If a swimmer participates in the meet, parents are expected to volunteer at least half of the meet (THANK YOU!).
Follow the signup procedures above for an A meet. In addition to marking attendance, you will also choose the events your child would like to swim. Selecting the checkbox next to each event (up to 3 individual events plus I.M.). Make sure you save your selections.
The deadline for signing up for B meets is 6pm on the Monday prior to the Wednesday meet so the coaches can create the official meet roster Monday night and Tuesday morning.
How to Register for Jobs at a Meet:
Under the Meets & Events tab, select "Signup Calendar" to sign up for a swim meet.
- Click the green JOB SIGNUP tab and sign up for volunteer shifts (note one parent may sign up both parents for jobs -- scroll down and you’ll see the other parent listed).
- Choose your job by selecting the checkbox next to the job you would like
- Click Save Assignments.
